Norton Rose Fulbright among Canada’s Top 100 Employers for third year running

Press release - Recognition November 9, 2018

Norton Rose Fulbright’s first-rate work environment, employment conditions, and community involvement once again earned us a place on the list of Canada’s Top 100 Employers.

This distinction speaks to the quality of the employee experience at Norton Rose Fulbright and the programs put in place in recent years to attract and retain top-tier talent.

These programs include a number of wellness initiatives that address physical as well as mental health, such as our National Fitness Challenge and Not Myself Today, and which are designed to help our people handle the stress associated with a fast-paced, high-stakes industry.

In 2016, Norton Rose Fulbright was in fact a pioneer among law firms in Canada in providing Mental Health First Aid training. Currently, we have 84 people certified to support their colleagues across our six Canadian offices.

Through awareness campaigns like Norton Rose Fulbright’s annual Global Inclusion Month, and proactive actions such as unconscious bias training, we constantly endeavour to promote and achieve greater inclusivity, diversity and equity.

In 2014, ours was the first law firm to set gender targets with a global statement to achieve 30 per cent of women in the partnership. In Canada, the number of women partners has since climbed 4 per cent to 26 per cent.

Capitalizing on our global strengths

Norton Rose Fulbright understands that good business outcomes go hand in hand with employee growth.

We offer an extensive, externally accredited global learning and development curriculum. Master classes give lawyers as well as business services professionals the tools they need to successfully navigate their career path within the organization.

Canada’s Top 100 Employers is an annual editorial competition run by Mediacorp Canada Inc., publisher of employment-related periodicals. Winners are announced in a special supplement published in the Globe and Mail.
