Donald is a litigation and dispute resolution lawyer based in Johannesburg.
He is the disputes practice group leader and practices in arbitration and insurance and reinsurance litigation and dispute resolution, healthcare, construction and engineering insurance disputes, product liability and recall and all related regulatory Advertising Standards Authority, consumer protection and class actions disputes.
He regularly advises the major short-term insurers and reinsurers in South Africa and most of the major private hospital networks. He also advises Lloyds and Lloyds syndicates and international reinsurers. His insurance law specialisation includes regulatory work and complex litigation with respect to subrogated defences and recoveries and defence work for insurers and reinsurers regarding policy response, interpretation and wording.
He frequently publishes and lectures on all aspects of insurance and medical law.
