Dirk Trautmann is a banking and finance lawyer based in Munich. He specialises in asset and project finance as well as general bank lending. His main focus is on project finance where he has a wide range of experience in both domestic and international transactions, advising the public sector, lenders and sponsors/project companies on PPP, infrastructure and energy projects.
In the area of asset finance, he acts for lenders, lessors, lessees, manufacturers and other parties in complex finance and lease transactions for aircraft, ships, rolling stock and other movable and immovable assets. Dirk is also active in advising lenders and companies in large scale debt financings, including acquisition, restructuring and insolvency scenarios.

Dirk holds a law degree from the University of Munich and a master’s degree from Kyushu University, Japan. Dirk is a member of the German Bar Association and the German-Japanese Association of Jurists. A German native speaker, he is fluent in English and also speaks Japanese.
