Dr. Frank Weberndörfer is an employment lawyer and a certified specialist for employment law (Fachanwalt für Arbeitsrecht) based in Hamburg.
Frank advises employers at both large multinational and medium-sized companies. He is especially experienced in restructurings and business transfers, litigation, reconciliation of interests and social compensation plans, works constitution law, termination of employment, employment contracts and remuneration.
Being an employment lawyer since 1994, Frank has advised numerous companies with regard to transactions and restructurings. In recent years, Frank inter alia advised two banks on a spin-off including transfers of business, a financial institution on a new structure for its operations, an insurance company on a restructuring and on a lay-off of several hundred employees as well as a bank regarding a new remuneration system.
Frank also advises companies and their HR departments in their day-to-day business on all employment related issues. In addition, Frank regularly acts for employers in lawsuits regarding all aspects of employment law, in particular dismissals, low performance and works council matters, including numerous proceedings at the Federal labour court.
Frank is recognized for employment law by the German legal directory Juve 2014/2015 praising him for his “high professional competence”.
He is chairman of the expert committee for employment law with the Hamburg bar association.
A native German speaker, Frank is also fluent in English.
