Dr. Dirk Otto is a corporate lawyer and civil-law notary based in Frankfurt. He advises on a wide variety of corporate transactions including public and private company mergers, acquisitions and disposals, joint ventures and venture capital investments. He regularly advises leading insurance companies in relation to warranty and indemnity insurance policies and insurance disputes.
Dirk has been recognised by JUVE Legal Directory as highly recommended in M&A, private equity and venture capital. He is co-editor and co-author of “Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards - A Global Commentary on the New York Convention” published by Kluwer Law in 2010.
Dirk was admitted to the Frankfurt bar in 1995. He was appointed civil-law notary in 2011. Dirk joined our Frankfurt practice as a partner in 2001 after working with another major international legal practice as an M&A lawyer for seven years. Dirk is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (MCiArb), African Law Association, Arab & Islamic Law Association, the Frankfurt Bar Association and the Frankfurt Notary Chamber.
