Raj Karia is a corporate lawyer based in London where he is Head of Corporate, M&A and Securities for Europe, Middle East and Asia. He specialises in advising companies and investment banks on mergers & acquisitions, equity capital markets, joint venture and restructuring transactions. Raj has a particular specialism in advising clients operating in the natural resources and energy sector.
Raj is cited as a leading corporate lawyer in Chambers and Partners 2008 and is described as being “in the premier league”. Raj is also recognised as one of the leading mining lawyers in the International Who's Who of Mining Lawyers.
Raj joined the London practice in 1991 and qualified as a solicitor in 1993. He spent a year working for an investment bank before returning to resume his legal career in 1995. He became a partner in 2000. Raj is a member of the Law Society of England & Wales.
