Neil Poland is a banking lawyer based in London. He specialises in asset and structured finance, particularly in the aviation and rail sectors. He is also global head of the aviation group.
Neil’s aviation sector experience includes acting for several airlines on finance and operating lease structures, including German leases, JOLCOs, export credit financings and public debt issues; acting for the European ECAs on the financing and delivery of Airbus aircraft for airlines in Europe, the Middle East and Asia; acting for banks on a wide variety of financing structures for airlines in the UK, Europe and the Middle East; acting for banks and corporates in the corporate and private jet sector; advising on restructurings, particularly of export credit financings.
Neil’s rail sector experience includes acting for a leading financial institution on the capital markets financing of a European rail freight operator with rolling stock leased in over 20 European countries; acting for a syndicate of banks on the financing of a European locomotive and passenger rolling stock leasing company; acting for a UK ROSCO on procurement and leasing.
Neil joined the London practice in 1999 and became a partner in 2001.
