Gold Award for McGill University Health Centre
December 6, 2010
Montréal - Ogilvy Renault is proud to have acted for the bond underwriters and the lenders in the financing of the new Glen campus of McGill University Health Centre (MUHC), which received the Canadian Council for Public-Private Partnerships’ Gold Award - Project Financing for 2010. The private partner in this complex and innovative public-private partnership is Groupe Immobilier Santé McGill, a consortium formed by SNC-Lavalin and Innisfree.
This project will consolidate the clinical care, research and teaching activities of MUHC currently found at three locations. When completed, the Glen campus will be home to the Montreal Children's Hospital, the Royal Victoria Hospital, the Montreal Chest Institute and the Research Institute of the McGill University. The agreement is for 34.25 years, which includes a 51 month design and construction period and a 30-year operating period. The MUHC Glen campus project is Canada's largest public-private partnership hospital to date.
A team comprised of Robert Borduas, Pete Wiazowski, Martin Thériault, Alain Ricard, Serge Levy, Michèle Friel and Pascal Rodier represented the bond underwiters and the lenders in this intricate financing.
