Future Ready: Sustainable Cities

Indonesian Infrastructure in Focus

March 7, 2017

Jakarta Future ready banner

In Indonesia, more than 50 per cent of people currently live in cities. By 2050, that number is projected to rise to 85 per cent.

How city infrastructure is planned, procured and financed will have a profound impact on the ‘livability’ of Indonesian cities of the future.

To discuss these themes we are holding a seminar in Jakarta, where topics will include:

  • an overview of Bandung’s sustainable city concept and investment prospects, presented by Ridwansyah Yusuf Achmad, International Relation Officer for Bandung City Government

  • key challenges facing Indonesia’s infrastructure market presented by Nadia Soraya, Partner TNB & Partners (in association with Norton Rose Fulbright Australia)

  • an online tool to assist governments and stakeholders in PPP infrastructure projects, by Mark Moseley, Senior Director at the Global Infrastructure Hub.

An expert panel including Harold JD Tjiptadjaja, Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer, PT Indonesia Infrastructure Finance (IIF); Armand Hermawan, Finance and Risk Management Director, PT PII (IIGF); and Rainier Haryanto, Program Director, Committee for the Acceleration of Priority Infrastructure Delivery (KPPIP) will consider the challenges and opportunities of sustainable urban development facing both government and private sector. Following the presentations and panel discussion, there will be networking over drinks.
