Securitisation academy: panel event and masterclass

This year’s Securitisation academy consists of two parts. First, a panel of securitisation lawyers will examine the latest developments affecting the securitisation industry, to help you respond effectively to the challenging environment. Topics include

The new Securitisation Regulation and other Capital Markets Union reforms

  • Potential uses of blockchain technology
  • Why the securitisation industry needs to consider European Market Infrastructure Regulation (EMIR) margin requirements and new product governance rules under the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID II)
  • How to plan for new disclosure regimes under the Prospectus Regulation and Packaged Retail and Insurancebased Investment Products (PRIIPs) Regulation
  • Issuing asset-backed securities on London Stock Exchange’s new International Securities Market

The second part will be a masterclass where we will walk you step by step through the simple, transparent and standardised (STS) securitisation eligibility criteria, certification process and risk weighting analysis to help you get the most out of the new securitisation framework from a regulatory capital perspective.

This masterclass will be of interest to market participants at all levels.
