Many UK companies face new reporting requirements for financial years beginning on or after January 1, 2019. Premium listed companies will need to comply or explain against the Financial Reporting Council’s new UK Corporate Governance Code, while they and other UK companies, including large public and private companies and large subsidiaries of listed companies, will need to meet new corporate reporting requirements in their annual report and accounts. These include the production of a section 172(1) Companies Act 2006 statement, statements about the company’s engagement with its employees, suppliers, customers and others and, in some cases, a statement about the company’s corporate governance arrangements. UK quoted companies will also need to include extra disclosures in their directors’ remuneration report.
Please join us for this Breakfast Briefing where we will be discussing the new UK Corporate Governance Code and the proposed new reporting requirements, as well as their implications for the wide range of companies subject to them.
In-house legal and compliance teams across all industry sectors.
