Norton Rose Fulbright launches Inside Africa, an essential knowledge resource

Global Knowledge December 2, 2015

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright today launches Inside Africa, a new microsite to share its experiences across a wide variety of Africa-related projects and to showcase the firm’s knowledge of Africa’s industries.

Inside Africa is a high-end, distinctive resource for businesses operating across the continent and beyond. The microsite has been created in direct response to increasing interest in Africa’s growth, particularly from international investors seeking to develop or expand their operations, but without the depth of “on the ground” insight they require.

This knowledge resource will feature in-depth Africa-related articles, briefings, brochures, and project profiles, together with blog posts highlighting new market developments. Initially, it will focus on mining, infrastructure, food and agribusiness, power and transmission, renewables and sustainability and oil and gas. Over time, the site will be developed to cover all of the sectors in which the firm operates.

Martin McCann, global head of business, comments:

“We have one of the largest legal footprints in Africa of any international law firm and have been advising on deals there for over 30 years. Our commitment to Africa is an important part of our long-term global strategy. We therefore wanted to demonstrate the depth of knowledge that this level of experience in deal making brings. Inside Africa will enable us to support our clients by helping them keep up to date with real time legal developments across the sectors in which we are active’.

Gregory Nott, head of Africa, comments:

“We have on the ground presence in eight cities across North, East and South Africa and have experience of working in over 45 African jurisdictions advising both on transactions and ongoing commercial operations. Our international reach means we are well positioned to help our clients build their businesses both on the continent and internationally particularly across the developing axes of growth between Africa, China, the Middle East, Europe and the Americas.”
