Norton Rose Fulbright advises on successful planning appeal for City Airport expansion

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has advised London City Airport on its successful planning appeal for the £344 million City Airport Development Programme (CADP).

CADP will deliver additional aircraft stands, a parallel taxiway and an extension to the passenger terminal. This will enable the airport to handle more aircraft during peak hours, as well as accommodating the next generation of quieter more fuel efficient aircraft. he improved terminal will provide an improved passenger experience for the predicted growth in passengers at the airport.

London City Airport estimates the project will create 1,600 airport jobs for staff, together with 500 construction jobs, and could potentially contribute £1.5 billion to the UK economy by 2025. The airport will also make a significant investment in the DLR (Docklands Light Railway) network and improve other transport links in the area.
