Klaus Bader and Felix Dinger have been quoted by Clean Energy Pipeline with their opinion on the first of Germany’s much awaited offshore wind auctions. They are not expecting it to have similar consequences as in the Netherlands and Denmark, where the latest tenders have resulted in very low bids. This expectation is mainly due to the fact that the German projects are typically further out at sea and the waters are deeper so the construction costs are potentially higher compared to the Dutch and Danish projects.
