Radford Goodman, Financial Times - Lords back universal line on liquidations

10 April 2008

Radford Goodman was quoted in the Financial Times discussing the House of Lords ruling that backs greater international cooperation on cross-border insolvencies.

“The ruling was also likely to shift the starting point from where English courts would consider insolvency proceedings centred abroad.”

“Unless creditors could demonstrate that distributing assets under another state’s laws would prejudice their rights, judges would probably grant requests to remit English assets to foreign liquidators. ”
