Norton Rose Fulbright advises on sale of First Names Group

Global Business January 2, 2018

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has advised the shareholders of First Names Group (including the majority shareholder, AnaCap Financial Partners) on the sale of the group to the SGG Group. Completion of the deal is subject to regulatory approvals.

First Names Group is a fast growing provider of private client, corporate and fund services in 14 jurisdictions and employs around 700 people. AnaCap acquired First Names Group in 2012 and it has since expanded both organically and through multiple bolt-on acquisitions. The deal will make the SGG Group, which is backed by Astorg Partners, one of the world’s largest providers of trust, corporate and fund services.

The Norton Rose Fulbright team was led by partner Richard Bull with assistance from senior associate Andrew Houghton and associates Jenny Bowe, Thomas Wood and Gabriella Denlew.

The firm has previously advised AnaCap on a number of transactions including the sale of online insurance broker Simply Business; the acquisition of payment services provider Heidelberger Payment GmbH, and POS payment specialist StarTec Payment & Service GmBH.
