Chris Cwalina (Washington, DC), our Global Co-Head of Cyber Risk, recently became one of the first lawyers to receive the American Bar Association’s (ABA) Privacy Law Specialist designation.

Cwalina’s appointment is just the 15th specialty accredited by the ABA.

The ABA’s acknowledgement of privacy as a specialty solidifies the increasing speed in which privacy is growing, it’s complication and it’s need of advanced and more evolved solutions. This specialty is a big step forward for the field of privacy. Having met the program’s requirements, Cwalina now stands with the elite in privacy law.

In addition to being designated a privacy law specialist by the ABA, Cwalina serves on the board of Editors for the Privacy & Cybersecurity Law Report. He is also a co-chair for IAPP Knowledgenet and is both a privacy law bar section advisory board member and certified privacy professional (CIPP) for the International Association of Privacy Professionals.

Cwalina concentrates his international practice on cybersecurity and privacy compliance and program development, with a focus on complex cybersecurity attack and data breach investigations.
