The Rising Star Award honours his range of experience, drive and commitment to efficient, timely, comprehensive and consistent client service as well as dedication to pro bono work. It also recognizes his achievement of successful, efficient and expedited restructuring results through creativity, innovation, flexibility and adaptability.

Terence Dobbin, Norton Rose Fulbright’s managing partner in Toronto, commented:

“Congratulations to Evan on this remarkable accomplishment. This prestigious award is something many aspire to and we are truly proud that Evan has received it. It is a recognition of his ability to manage large teams on some of the most complex restructuring matters in the country, his depth of experience and his ability to achieve results for clients.”

Evan Cobb’s work covers corporate and commercial law, with a particular focus on bankruptcy, insolvency and restructuring.

He represents clients in both informal restructuring matters as well as proceedings under the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act and the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act. He also regularly acts for debtors, creditors and court-appointed officers in both domestic and cross-border restructuring and insolvency matters.

The Rising Star Award is peer reviewed and celebrates personal aspirations and contributions beyond the profession, such as volunteering, board membership, education and teaching. It also honours the determined, hardworking and well-rounded young professionals who are at the top of their field.
