Norton Rose advises on the financing for 7 MW solar PV project in Puglia

A combined team from the Munich and Rome offices of international legal practice Norton Rose Group has advised Landesbank Baden-Württemberg on the €40.8 million limited recourse project financing to Soleintenso S.r.l., a project company set up by a+f GmbH (A+F), for the construction of a 7MW solar photovoltaic (PV) plant located in the locality of Minervino Murge (Puglia Region).
A+F, a company based in Würzburg, Germany, has been active for over 25 years in the renewable energy sector, specialising in the development, planning, marketing, installation, operation and service of solar PV plants. The Company has gained international attention for its innovative “SunCarrier” PV tracking systems, which will be installed in the new solar plant located at Minervino Murge.
The Norton Rose Group team was co-led by partners Dirk Trautmann (Munich) and Stefano Maria Zappalà (Rome). Overall project coordination was provided by Timo Noftz out of Munich. The Rome team further comprised associates Armando Nania, Daniela Viaggio, Ida Marseglia, Rosaria Pilia, Alessandro Magnifico and Francesca Staffieri for tax issues, while the Munich team further comprised associates Steffi Birkholz, Jonathan Mullender and Markus Radbruch.
A+F’s legal advisors were the Italian firm Pavia and Ansaldo, and, for German law aspects, GRÜTER.
