Fulbright senior associate Travis Torrence was recently nominated and accepted as a member of the Tulane College Dean's Advisory Council as well as being selected to Chair the Gift Committee for Tulane's 10 year reunion for the Class of 2002.

Ranked by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching, Tulane is one of the most highly regarded and selective independent research universities in the United States.

In addition to his membership to the Dean's Advisory Council, Torrence was also chosen to become a member of the Steering Committee for this year's Texas Minority Counsel Program (TMCP), a program designed to expand and increase the opportunities for minority and women lawyers to provide legal services to corporate and government clients.

Since 2006, Torrence has worked in Fulbright's Houston office with the bankruptcy and insolvency group. Currently, he serves as a member of Fulbright's diversity advisory committee and is the co-chair of the Houston office's clerkship committee, which recommends hiring decisions to the firm's employment committee.
