Sven Jacobs is a technology, compliance and life science lawyer in our Frankfurt office. Sven focuses his practice on data privacy, software license and outsourcing agreements as well as intellectual property and competition law and regulatory requirements.
Sven has undertaken two long term secondments to Eli Lilly and a DAX 30 group and provided advice on IT- and outsourcing agreement, regarding regulatory and compliance law, general commercial projects as well as competition law issues.
Sven studied law at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität in Heidelberg and at the University of Ottawa, Canada. Thereafter, he was a research assistant at the University of Heidelberg. Sven is a long-time lecturer for international intellectual property law at the University of Karlsruhe (Karlsruhe Institute of Technology – KIT) and for copyright, competition and contract law at a private college (German Graduate School of Management and Law) in Heilbronn.
In addition to several articles in prestigious legal magazines, Sven is a co-author of a multi-edition commentary on the Community Trade Mark Regulation, author of the IT-Compliance chapter in a compliance handbook and co-author of a chapter on life-cycle management of pharmaceuticals in a handbook on life science venturing.
Sven is fluent in German and English.
