Aydin Jebrailov

Aydin Jebrailov is a mining, energy and project finance lawyer based in Moscow. Aydin has represented clients as lenders and borrowers in the financing of major mining projects. He has hands-on-experience in leading transactions from a legal perspective covering all aspects of negotiating, structuring and financing subsoil operations in Russia. His legal expertise also includes assistance to clients on regulatory compliance issues such as land, environmental, technical standard and health and safety-related matters. Aydin's clients extend beyond the borders of Russia. He has overseen oil and gas legal assignments in Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan.

Aydin also has comprehensive experience in complex reorganizations and transfers of subsoil rights of potentially troubled companies to legally secure corporate entities. In addition, he has obtained approvals on many occasions from subsoil authorities for amendments to licenses, and has successfully defended subsoil users from suspension or termination of their rights in administrative disputes and in Russian commercial courts. Aydin graduated from Baku State University, School of Law, in 1978 and with a PhD from the Academy of Sciences, Moscow, in 1986.
