A team from international legal practice Norton Rose Group has advised on the expansion of Avance Gas Holding Ltd.

Avance Gas was formed in December 2010 as a very large gas carrier (VLGC) joint venture between Stolt-Neilsen Gas Ltd. and Sungas Holdings Ltd and Transpetrol Gas has now become a shareholder bringing an additional two VLGCs to the joint venture.

The Norton Rose team comprised partners Jill Gauntlett (London) and Simon Hartley (London), supported by Stephen Woods (Singapore) and Paul Dawson (London).

Jill Gauntlett, partner at Norton Rose Group, commented:

“Norton Rose Group’s shipping and corporate teams advised on the formation of the joint venture in 2010 and so it was particularly pleasing to have worked also on this next stage of the development of Avance Gas.”

Stephenson Harwood advised Transpetrol.
