Norton Rose Fulbright wins big at LatinFinance’s Project & Infrastructure Finance Awards Dinner

Norton Rose Fulbright has won two awards at LatinFinance's Project & Infrastructure Finance Awards Dinner on Tuesday, Sept. 26, at The Plaza Hotel in New York City.

We have received the "Best Port Financing Award" for the Kingston Container Terminal project and "Best Renewable Energy Financing Award" for representing lenders on the El Pelícano Solar Project.

The LatinFinance Project & Infrastructure Finance Awards "celebrates the stand-out institutions and transactions of the past year in this important and rapidly growing market."

We advised banks, investors and commercial B lenders on US$265m of loans to Kingston Freeport Terminal LTD (KFTL). With a total project cost of US$452m, KFTL is positioned to become one of the top trans-shipment platforms in the Caribbean. Jeffrey Goodman (Washington, DC) led the deal team with support from Michael Pikiel (New York), Amala Nath (Washington, DC) and Steven Towell (Washington, DC).

For the 100 MW El Pelícano Solar Project in Chile, we represented Crédit Agricole, Korea Development Bank (KDB), MUFG and SMBC in connection with the US$199.5m financing of El Pelícano, which will supply 42 percent of the electricity needed to power the Metro de Santiago. Todd Alexander (New York) was the lead partner on this deal team with support from Monika Szymanski, Lee Gordon, Matthew Shellenhamer (New York) and Robert Shapiro (Washington, DC).
