Norton Rose Fulbright lawyer named one of New York Business Journal’s Women of Influence

People February 23, 2018

Ayşe Yüksel Mahfoud (Istanbul, New York) has been named one of the New York Business Journal's 2018 “Women of Influence.” She is one of just 38 accomplished executives—and one of only five lawyers at major law firms—in the New York-metro area selected for this accolade.

The list spotlights women who have “found success in a range of businesses affecting the New York economy” and have “been active in mentoring younger executives, working with nonprofit organizations and pursuing charitable endeavors.”

Yüksel Mahfoud, our Istanbul partner-in-charge and a member of our Global Executive Committee, has extensive experience in a range of corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments, privatizations, joint ventures and financing transactions.

Outside of the boardroom, Yüksel Mahfoud is extensively involved in both the New York-metro community and in other regions. As an example, she is the lead pro bono counsel for Jazz at Lincoln Center, a New York non-profit, including in its matters in Europe, the Middle East, China and Latin America.

The New York Business Journal will feature a profile of each of the Women of Influence in March.
