Law360 ranks Norton Rose Fulbright fifth on the Global 20, its annual list of the top 20 global law firms

July 9, 2018

For the eighth consecutive year, Law360 selected the 20 law firms that “have the broadest global reach and the proven ability to handle the most difficult cross-border matters, from multibillion-dollar mergers to heated legal brawls.”

Norton Rose Fulbright is ranked fifth on this year’s Global 20 list—up two spots from 2017—marking the fifth straight year we have been included in the top 10 spots, joining only White & Case, Freshfields, DLA Piper and Allen & Overy.

Rankings are based upon responses to law firm surveys that sought information about global lawyer headcounts, office locations and cross-border and international work handled between April 1, 2017 and April 1, 2018.

“In order to stick the landing in cross-border matters, these firms need not only inspiration and creativity, but also a huge stable of legal talent in offices around the globe,” Law360 says.

Firms were ranked based on five factors: the percentage of its attorneys located outside its home country; the number of offices outside its home country; the number of countries where the firm has at least one office; the practice area breadth of its cross-border and international work; and the size and complexity of its cross-border and international work.
