Fleur Shaw-Jones is a corporate and commercial lawyer based in Melbourne.
She focuses on consumer markets with a particular interest in the franchising sector. She trained at the practice and became a senior associate in 2016.
Fleur’s particular proficiency includes the drafting and negotiation of commercial agreements and the application of franchising and competition laws to product distribution, pricing and supply issues faced by franchisors and suppliers, particularly in the automotive and power tool industry. This includes the extension of the unfair contract terms regime in the Australian Consumer Law to small business contracts and Fleur has assisted a number of public and private companies to review their contracts in response to the extension of this regime.
She also has transactional experience in mergers and acquisitions and advises clients on a range of corporate governance and Corporations Act compliance issues.
