In 2023, there are several major developments and breakthroughs in the hydrogen sector at both national and European level.
The announcement by the French government of a €4 billion financial package to support the production of renewable and low-carbon hydrogen, the adoption of the decree on the organization of the calls for projects, and the publication by the European Commission of the first bases for its pilot auction dedicated to the production of renewable hydrogen are essential steps towards increasing the quantities of carbon-free hydrogen produced in the European Union and the move to scale that the industry is calling for.
