|Hi, I am Karen Darke. Because of the challenges that have happened, maybe a combination of for me and to me in life, a lot of people ask me “how to you find the confidence because you see somehow unstoppable?” It’s never been about confidence for me, I actually lack quite a lot of confidence. But what happens is that I notice myself feeling fear and I always eventually step into the fear and somehow find some courage or a plan in my mind as to how to do that. So for me, the confidence is about being willing to find some courage to going into the difficult places, we don’t know what’s going to happen, we might feel scared, but we can make a plan, we can write down all the things that we are worried about, figure out something to do about them all, and then find little solutions for each of them that gradually build up the possibility that we might be able to do something that we didn’t think we could or we might be able to overcome something that we didn’t think we could. So for me, confidence is all about taking those tiny baby steps, finding the courage, stepping into the fear, and finding little solutions that help us gradually step by step work through it.|
