Norton Rose Fulbright advises on Hong Kong IPO of EuroEyes International Eye Clinic

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has advised BOCI Asia Limited as the sole sponsor and global coordinator on the HK$595 million (US$75 million) listing of EuroEyes International Eye Clinic Limited (EuroEyes) on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

EuroEyes is one of Germany’s largest independent eye surgery groups. It provides specialised corrective surgery for refractive vision errors, with operations in Germany, Denmark and China. In 2012, EuroEyes became the first foreign eye clinic group to open in China.

Proceeds from the IPO will be used to open up more clinics in major cities in China including Chengdu and Chongqing by 2020.

Norton Rose Fulbright’s Hong Kong-based deal team was led by partners Psyche Tai and Winnie Chan, with assistance from consultant Allan Yee, senior associate Eva Tsui and associate Raymond Yeung. German partners Benedikt Gillessen in Frankfurt and Heiko Bertelmann in Hamburg also advised on the deal, with assistance from counsel Felix Dinger and Menso Engelmann, senior associate Sven Jacobs and associate Jan Schneidereit.
