Biography
Christian is a partner based in our London office. He has over 25 years of experience as a securitization lawyer. He joined Norton Rose Fulbright from a leading investment bank, where he was senior legal counsel, and is a former partner at another large international law firm.
Christian focuses primarily on structured finance and securitization transactions, working with sponsors, lenders, issuers, investors and others across a broad range of asset classes. His experience includes advising on the financing of residential and commercial mortgage assets (including RMBS and CMBS), digital infrastructure (including residential and C&I solar assets, infrastructure / whole business securitisation, and trade / lease finance, as well as on the trading and financing of both performing and NPL portfolios. He has advised on a number of market-first transactions and has significant cross-border experience.

• Advised a lender providing finance to a short-listed bidder for Kensington securitisation mortgage assets.
• Advised Brookfield Renewables and Finlight in connection with a €120mn Spanish solar assets warehouse facility financing structure funded by Barclays. This was the first European solar securitization of a portfolio combining receivables in both the residential and commercial and industrial sectors.
• Advised Brookfield Renewables and Atrato Onsite Energy in connection with a £250mn UK solar assets warehouse facility.
• Advised a European bank in connection with the disposal of a €1.5bn green project loans portfolio.
• Advised Goldman Sachs as the arranger of a series of six credit tenant-linked (CTL) real estate-backed bonds for Tesco, totalling c.£3bn of debt
• Advised numerous arrangers and/or originators in connection with the warehousing and public securitisation funding for their respective non-conforming mortgage businesses.
• Advised Blackstone on the WBS financing, with related high yield debt, of their UK holiday parks business (and in connection with the prior restructuring of an opco/propco CMBS secured on the same assets).
