Farmida Bi named one of Financial News’ Most Influential in Legal Services 2021

Norton Rose Fulbright’s Chair of Europe, Middle East and Asia, Farmida Bi, CBE has been recognised as one of Financial News Most Influential in Legal Services.
This is Financial News inaugural list of Europe’s top 20 lawyers who are recognised for their leadership and those who head top-tier teams.
Farmida Bi is recognised for her work as the partner champion for the firm’s corporate social responsibility programme. In particular, Financial News noted her work in implementing a new race and ethnicity strategy for the firm’s Europe, Middle East and Asia offices. She also implemented a combined diversity, inclusion, environmental, social and governance, pro bono and volunteering strategy for the firm. Alongside these initiatives, Farmida also heads the Islamic finance practice in Europe and has led on some groundbreaking debt capital markets transactions. In October 2020, Farmida was awarded a CBE for services to the law and to charity.
A leading individual for Islamic finance and for debt capital markets in Legal 500, Farmida was listed in Financial News Most Influential Women in European Finance and included in the HERoes 100 Women Executives list in both 2019 and 2020.
