Biography

Joanna Braciszewska-Szarapa is a banking and finance lawyer based in Warsaw. She focuses on secured lending and on financial markets and advising on banking law in banking and finance transactions. She has been involved in a number of receivables portfolio disposals and securitisations of loans for major banks.

Prior to joining the firm in 2006, Joanna participated in training programmes at the Polish Securities and Exchange Commission and the Warsaw Stock Exchange.

  • Advised Velvet CARE on the acquisition of 100% of the shares in Italian Paper and Private Label Tissue.
  • Advised Abris Capital Partners on the sale of 100% of the shares in DOT2DOT S.A., the largest independent premium packaging producer in Central Europe, to Van Genechten Packaging. 
  • Advised AMC V SCA SICAV RAIF, part of Accession Capital Partners (ACP), on significant mezzanine financing granted to eFaktor S.A., specialist providers of factoring services for SMEs.
  • Advised a consortium of major Polish and Western European lenders on PLN 1.5bn (€338m) sustainability-linked financing for CARGOUNIT, a leading Central and Eastern European locomotive leasing company headquartered in Poland.
