Beauward Shopping Centres develops convention centre in partnership with the City of St-Hyacinthe

Counsel to Beauward Shopping Centres in connection with the development of a convention centre in partnership with the City of St-Hyacinthe. The deal is related to the property development project of Les Galeries St-Hyacinthe (shopping centre) where is intended that Beauward will build a hotel complex and the city of St-Hyacinthe a convention centre all connected to an existing shopping centre.  The complexity of this deal resides in the multi-use nature of the future property, the implication of a ground lease (emphyteusis) in favour of the City on aerial rights and generally negotiations of this nature with a public entity subject to demanding regulations.
