Montréal advises Laurentian Bank of Canada on C$350 million offering

Our Montréal office has advised Laurentian Bank of Canada in the issue and sale of C$350 million 4.25 per cent notes due June 22, 2027. This was the bank’s first offering of non-viability contingent capital subordinated debt. The offering was made pursuant to the bank’s short form base shelf prospectus dated December 20, 2016, and prospectus supplement dated June 15, 2017, which were filed with the securities regulatory authorities in all Canadian provinces. The syndicate of dealers was led by Laurentian Bank Securities and also comprised CIBC World Markets, BMO Nesbitt Burns, RBC Dominion Securities, TD Securities, Desjardins Securities, National Bank Financial and Scotia Capital. The team included Solomon Sananes, Renée Loiselle and Thomas Charest-Girard.
