Alisha Schell provides support to lawyers regarding all aspects of the litigation of patents pursuant to the Patented Medicines (Notice of Compliance) Regulations as well as infringement, impeachment and damages actions in the Federal Court of Canada, with an emphasis on pharmaceutical patents.
Ms. Schell is well versed in the Federal Courts Rules and helps prepare various court materials, including motion records, affidavits, application records, affidavits of documents and bills of costs. She also assists with the management of undertakings arising from examinations for discovery, management of documents produced in litigation and assists lawyers with trial and hearing preparations. Ms. Schell also has experience with matters before the Federal Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Canada.
Prior to joining Norton Rose Fulbright, Ms. Schell spent several years as an intellectual property law clerk at a national law firm.
