Andrew Schafer advises clients on a variety of labour and employment matters, including labour relations, human rights, workers' compensation, wrongful dismissals, unjust dismissals, employment standards, and compensation issues.
Mr. Schafer prepares various labour and employment agreements such as employment contracts, confidentiality agreements, restrictive covenants, return to work agreements, and workplace policies. Mr. Schafer assists clients with corporate transaction by providing labour and employment advice relating to due diligence, transactional drafting and labour and employment matters related to those transactions. In addition, and as part of his broader labour and employment practice, Mr. Schafer advises on pension and benefits matters. Mr. Schafer advises clients about a variety of pension matters including plan design, plan amendments, plan mergers, regulatory compliance, and pension issues relating to corporate transactions.
