Global Business September 7, 2017

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright and Levy, Stopol & Camelo, LLP have advised VOXX International on the sale of Hirschmann Car Communication to Swiss-headquartered TE Connectivity.

VOXX International Corporation is a leading, New York-listed global manufacturer and supplier of consumer electronic products in the automotive, premium audio, and accessory industries. Due to a strategic reorientation, VOXX International has decided to sell the Hirschmann Car Communication Group, which has only been acquired in 2012.

The Norton Rose Fulbright team in Hamburg was led by corporate partner Dr. Klaus von Gierke and Of Counsel Katharina von der Heyde and included associate Dr. Sandra Figgen. Of Counsel Dr. Tim Schaper and associate Daniel Hagenmaier provided antitrust and competition law advice and partner Dr. Uwe Eppler and Of Counsel Alexander von Reuss advised on tax law. Law firm Levy, Stopol & Camelo provided US law advice, led by partner Larry Stopol.

Dr Klaus von Gierke commented: "We are delighted to have advised and supported the strategic development of VOXX International Corporation over the years and particularly on this significant deal.”

Norton Rose Fulbright has been advising VOXX International on a regular basis, among other things on its original acquisition of Hirschmann in 2012.
