Norton Rose Fulbright named top shipping law firm at Lloyd’s List Americas Awards

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright received the i-law Maritime Law Award at the 2018 Lloyd’s List Americas Awards gala on May 23, 2018, in Houston.
The i-law Maritime Law Award recognizes excellence in the legal profession and honors Norton Rose Fulbright as the law firm that has offered the very best service to the maritime and shipping industry throughout the past 12 months. Lloyd’s List is a leading publication for global shipping news, data and analysis and is one of the world's oldest continuously running journals.
The award underlines Norton Rose Fulbright’s commitment to the shipping industry.
The firm has significantly grown its New York shipping team, which was established less than five years ago.
In January 2017, it combined with a market-leading maritime law practice in Vancouver to become the only global firm with a dominant shipping practice in Canada led by its lawyers in Vancouver and Montreal.
The firm also has an increased focus on the energy, project cargo and offshore sectors of the industry in Houston, and, in the past year, Norton Rose Fulbright extended its presence in Latin America, with new offices in Sao Paulo and Mexico City.
