Dr. Klaus von Gierke is a corporate lawyer based in Hamburg and Frankfurt.
He has over 20 years of experience in many different aspects of corporate law, in particular the legal aspects of private limited companies and partnerships. His knowledge ranges from mergers, changes of legal form and other restructurings to all other aspects of corporate law.
Furthermore, Klaus has extensive experience and knowledge in supporting and implementing small-medium- and large-scale M&A transactions, particularly cross-border mergers. In connection with this, he advises a number of foreign – and in particular Scandinavian – companies on investment, co-operation and de-investment in Germany.

Klaus gained his doctorate at the University of Freiburg and an LL.M. degree at Tulane University School of Law in New Orleans. He was admitted as a lawyer in 1984. He has co-authored the book “Die GmbH im Prozess”, published by Dr. Otto Schmidt Verlag in 1997, as well as numerous other publications. Furthermore, he frequently appears as a speaker on specialist seminars.
Klaus is admitted as a lawyer both in Germany and the USA (New York). He is a certified specialist for corporate and commercial law (Fachanwalt für Handels- und Gesellschaftsrecht). A native German speaker, Klaus is also fluent in English and French.
