Norton Rose Fulbright’s Anne Lapierre is named “Lawyer of the year” in France for the fifth time

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright partner Anne Lapierre has been named “Lawyer of the year 2019” for project finance and development work in the French market by US legal guide Best Lawyers. It is the fifth time Anne has received this accolade after being named best in Energy in 2014 and 2016, and in project finance and development in 2015 and 2017.

Anne Lapierre is one of 47 lawyers, among which 11 are female, to be named in the ninth edition of the Best Lawyers in France ranking. The prestigious ranking names one standout lawyer per practice area and by jurisdiction as “Lawyer of the Year".

Anne Lapierre is based in Paris and heads Norton Rose Fulbright’s global energy practice. She is involved in a number of renewable and conventional oil and gas transactions in relation to project development, construction, financing, acquisition and transfer of projects. She has advised on numerous innovative and first-in-country projects in France, North Africa, as well as sub-Saharan francophone Africa, and has significant experience of solar and wind power projects.

Anne is a member of the board of France’s main wind energy trade organisation (FEE) and in November 2017 was appointed to the Solar Impulse Foundation’s Strategic Committee. She is also ranked among the 50 most influential lawyers in Africa by publication Jeune Afrique and has been included in A Word About Wind’s prestigious international Women’s Power List Top 100.

Founded in 1981 by Steven Naifeh and Gregory White, both graduates of the Harvard Law School, US legal guide Best Lawyers is one of the oldest peer-review publications in the legal profession. Best Lawyers extended its research to the French market in 2010.
