In its efforts to support small and medium enterprises (SMEs) comply with complex and dynamic restrictive measures imposed by the European Union, the European Commission has launched the EU Sanctions Helpdesk platform (the Helpdesk), providing compliance advice, sanctions updates and practical tools primarily for SMEs involved in international trade. On 15 July 2025 the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) published its final rules in relation to reform of the UK prospectus regime (see PS 25/9: New rules for the public offers and admissions to trading regime), largely adopting the approach proposed in its consultation last summer. This is the latest step in the process of reforming the UK’s capital markets, following on from the overhaul of the UK Listing Rules (UKLR) in 2024.
