NT Analyzer takes home The Lawyer's Most Innovative Use of Technology award

United States Press release - Recognition November 4, 2020

As a part of its 2020 awards program, The Lawyer has named Norton Rose Fulbright's data privacy compliance tool, NT Analyzer, the winner of its Most Innovative Use of Technology award.

NT Analyzer – short for Network Traffic Analyzer – helps clients detect when personal information is shared with third parties and identifies if the data sharing violates privacy laws and regulations. NT Analyzer uniquely tests clients' mobile apps, websites, and Internet of Things (IoT) from the end-user side, which is where most data leakage occurs and is an area that traditional cybersecurity tools cannot monitor.

Once all data sharing is identified, the data is categorized under relevant legal risks, and the attorney-client privilege protects all legal findings. If a risk is discovered, the company can view the specific network traffic in their custom dashboard to quickly mitigate. From there, the marketing or development team can see an objective picture, empowering companies to solve their most glaring data protection issues and facilitating the conversation between development and legal departments.

London-based The Lawyer's 56-judge panel scored each law firm based on a wide range of factors, including creativity, innovation, uniqueness, and how the product impacts client service and benefits the business as a whole.

NT Analyzer was developed and is spearheaded by Steven Roosa (New York), Norton Rose Fulbright's US Head of NRF Digital Analytics and Technology Assessment Platform, and Chris Cwalina (Washington, DC), the firm's Global Co-Head of Data Protection, Privacy and Cybersecurity. Dan Rosenzweig (New York), Marcus Evans (London), Lara White (London) and Christoph Ritzer (Frankfurt) are also key individuals in NT Analyzer's development and legal application.
