Kate is Head of Contracts in the General Counsel team based in London. She provides advice on legal issues and risks and is responsible for ensuring commercial and operational terms are accurately reflected in the contractual terms of the contracts which the firm enters into. In particular the specific risks related to regulation, cyber security, data protection, intellectual property, and practice policies and procedures. Kate gives advice to all parts of the business including IT, human resources and knowledge.

Before joining the Office of General Counsel, Kate advised clients on the non-contentious construction aspects of project finance deals in the energy and infrastructure sectors with a particular interest in renewable energy projects. Kate has wide experience of EPC, O&M agreements, and consultancy agreements as well as knowledge of a number of industry standard form construction contracts such as FIDIC, NEC and MF1.

Kate trained with the practice and qualified in 2009. Prior to qualifying as a lawyer Kate had a career in the pharmaceutical industry with GSK.
