Our Women in Maritime network hosted this virtual workshop, 50 Ways to Fight Bias* developed by Lean In. This workshop aims to provide insight on how bias works and provides practical tools on how to challenge bias in the work place.

The engaging workshop was led by Madelyn Flores of Lean In and Norton Rose Fulbright lawyers Niki Alexandrou and Olivia Cullen.

Almost three in four women experience bias at work, and those who do are more likely to leave their jobs. Research also shows that gender bias contributes to women being passed over for jobs and promotions. Whether deliberate or unconscious, bias negatively impacts women´s day-to-day work experiences.

Knowing that gender bias exists isn’t enough. We need to take action.
