China’s data privacy regime
Key developments over the last six months
WebinarGlobal | March 09, 2023
Since our last webinar presentation on China's data privacy regime, there have been a number of developments that may impact your business and/or operations in China. Ever since the enactment of China's Personal Information Protection Law (“PIPL") in 2021, we have seen increased activity from the Cyberspace Administration of China (“CAC"), especially around security assessments of cross-border data transfer.
Please join us for a discussion looking at developments in China's data privacy regime over the past six months. During the webinar, we will:
- Provide an overview of the new PIPL regulations and guidelines
- Share insights into the practical considerations when applying for security assessment of cross-border data transfer (including looking at the successful cases so far)
- Discuss enforcement trends under the China data laws.
For Hong Kong delegates: CPD point(s) is being applied for with the Law Society of Hong Kong. Please register and join the webinar using the name which you have registered with the Law Society of Hong Kong: CPD points may not be claimed if you fail to do so.
