Norton Rose Fulbright advises Hamburg Commercial Bank on wind farm financing in Sweden

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has advised Hamburg Commercial Bank on the financing of the Lyngsasa wind farm in southern Sweden. The investor is the Swiss fund manager SUSI Partners, which specializes in sustainable energy infrastructure. The wind farm has a production capacity of 94.6 MW and was developed as a greenfield project.

Lyngsasa will consist of 22 Vestas V150 turbines and when completed will be one of the largest wind farms in Sweden. The German company BayWa r.e. will take over the complete operation and construction of the park. A long-term fixed-price Power-Purchase Agreement (PPA) has been secured.

The Hamburg-based team was led by partner Timo Noftz, and included senior associate Oliver Paasch, counsel Veit Sahlfeld as well as associates Michael Volks and Jan Schneidereit.
