Biography
Nick Grandage is a finance lawyer and the Global Head of Trade Finance. His expertise includes all aspects of structured trade and commodity finance, including pre-export and prepayment transactions, ownership finance, borrowing base transactions and asset based lending. He advises on supply chain and receivables finance transactions, both on and off platform, and on receivables securitisations.
Nick acts for banks, trading companies and intermediaries in transactions around the world and his experience includes transactions involving energy, metals and soft commodities as well as equipment and processed and semi-processed goods.
Nick is highly recommended by both Chambers and Legal 500 where he is described by clients as "first class" and is particularly admired for "his experience and reading of situations to find agreeable solutions".
Nick is included in Chambers, 2019, in which clients describe him as "one of the top players," with a "depth of experience in the commodities world and a pragmatic approach."
