As a litigation and dispute resolution consultant Lindsay acts for and advises clients on regulatory enquiries, commissions of enquiry, contractual and commercial disputes, corporate disputes, franchising disputes and disputes relating to competition and consumer law. He has been involved in coordinating a number of cross jurisdictional international disputes.
In addition to commercial litigation primarily in Federal Courts and State Supreme Courts, Lindsay has been involved arbitrations and in the mediation of many disputes both before and after litigation has commenced in which he has used his commercial experience as well as various alternative dispute resolution techniques to achieve satisfactory and economic outcomes. Lindsay also regularly provides advice in relation to regulatory issues and disputes arising under codes of conduct in respect of the Pharmaceutical industry.
Lindsay is also experienced in bribery and corruption related issues and actively participates in our global Business Ethics and Anti-Corruption and Regulation and Investigation groups. He has advised on the adoption of internal policies governing the conduct of employees and businesses with emphasis on bribery and corruption issues, including gifts and entertainment policies and compliance with local and international laws. He has also advised on a number of investigations. For our Guide to Anti-Corruption Laws in APAC released earlier this year Lindsay was the author of the Australian section which dealt with Australian anti bribery laws and laws on whistle blowing and anti money laundering. Lindsay has also developed a bribery and corruption module which is included in e-comply, our group online compliance training product which we have available for clients.
