Biography
Omar Salah is a finance and restructuring lawyer based in Amsterdam.
Omar's practice covers banking and finance matters and he has advised on numerous leveraged and acquisition financings, asset-based financings, and investment grade corporate loans. He has acted for many Dutch and international corporates on their corporate and acquisition finance transactions, often covering multiple jurisdictions. He also advises sponsors, banks and direct lenders on Term Loan B transactions, unitranche financing and other leveraged finance transactions.
Omar also covers a range of financial restructuring and insolvency cases, including bank and bond debt restructurings, distressed M&A transactions and trading in non-performing loans.
In addition, he is a Professor of Law at Tilburg University where he holds a Chair in Global Finance and Restructuring Law.

- A direct lender – on a unitranche acquisition financing for a Dutch corporate in the dental business
- Triton Partners – on the acquisition financing for Dutch corporate in the healthcare business
- Triton Partners – on the acquisition financing of Royal Reesink, an international corporate headquartered in the Netherlands. The deal was structured as a Term Loan B from institutional lenders, an RCF loan from a bank syndicate, and an ABL-loan from a group of banks.
- Silverfleet Capital – on the unitranche financing for the acquisition of an international corporate. The financing was structured through a unitranche in the form of a Term Loan B from direct lender Muzinich & Co. Corporate Credit and a super senior RCF loan from Rabobank.
- Cerberus Capital Management – on the leveraged financing from Bawag P.S.K. for the acquisition of a real estate group based throughout continental Europe.
- Lone Star Funds – on the leveraged financing for the acquisition of a European distressed NPL-portfolio.
